About Me and the Farm

Hirvoja Farm Blog

Hirvoja Farm is a family project, as the name suggests. While I am the sole author of the blog, the posts often undergo some editing or contribution from my husband Teodor, and I constantly seek his advice and ideas. Therefore, Hirvoja Farm remains our joint endeavor.

If you’re interested in a natural lifestyle, enjoy creating things with your own hands, and seek to take a step back from today’s fast and ever-changing world to assess whether each innovation truly benefits us, then you’re in the right place! In addition, I share recipes and snippets of our family life on the blog.

Anette Hirvoja – Homemaker, Blogger

I am a mother and a wife – my family is my earthly treasure, and I strive to make all my choices and decisions in life with their well-being in mind. Occasionally, I indulge myself (I absolutely love going to the spa!), but I always make sure to include my family in those moments.

We got married young, while we were both still in college, and therefore had to live in the city. However, after my husband finished his master’s degree, our long-standing dream of moving to the countryside began to take shape. Building a farm is a lengthy process, but we are gradually constructing a self-sufficient farm complex, ensuring that our dinner table is filled with clean and healthy food, and our children grow up in a wholesome environment.

I bravely stand for the fact that the noblest role for a woman in the world is to be a mother and a housewife – cooking, cleaning, washing, weeding – from dawn to dusk. My husband said on our wedding day: “I am proud to have such a feminine wife”. That’s the biggest compliment I’ve ever been given and I promise I’ll never deviate from that path!
